Size

TV via nist6ss

The first thing you need to think about it how big you want it. There are a number of measurement formulas available to help you decide what size of TV you need. TV’s range from 19″ to 60″ with 19″- 26″ more appropriate for Bedrooms and 32″ to 42″ best for normal living rooms.

Screen

The next thing you need to consider is the type of screen you want. The main types are LCD, LED and Plasma. The main differences are that LED uses the lease amount of power and is more expensive compared so LCD (with no real benefits), LCD doesn’t work best in very bright rooms and Plasma screens use a lot of power but are great in darker rooms.

Stand

Another thing to consider is what your TV is going to sit on. You need to make sure the TV stand matches the rest of your living room furniture, provides a solid surface for your new TV as well as being the right height to watch your TV. Also if you have a DVD player, games console and digital box, you need to ensure there is enough space for it all.

Additions

Ok so you have the size of your TV and the screen sorted out, now think about what you need with it, i.e. screen cloths and HDMI cables. You need to ensure that your new TV has the right amount of inputs so you can connect everything up and to keep it in top condition.

Extras

The other thing you need to find out is what additional extras there are in the deal. Such items could be a HDMI cable to connect your TV to your satellites digital box, DVD player or money off a digital TV box.
